still got the abs and brake warning light coming on at 15 mph after 2 new cv joints and 2 new sensors in front.what else could cause this.is rear sensor or abs ring failure common

Brake light - apart from the obvious low fluid or low pads - could be the brake light switch .

ABS light could either be the clock spring mounted under the steering wheel or it could also be associated with the brake light switch.

Do a search on brake light switches it causes an incredible amount of problems!

thought that this was for the airbag :o :D

Check the pads wear sensors are "plugged in" on the front nearside mate.

It also takes a few miles for the fault to clear after an abs warning.

Oops sorry you are quite right - Apologies - I obviously didn't read that properly!!

Dont forget the rear off side brake pad sensor as well. Both the front and rears are opn the same circuit so either of them could be the problem.

it could need the fault resetting i.e. codes cleared, in order for the abs light to go out. check the brake pad sensors for the brake light, but not sure how they work on these, most cars the sensor shorts to earth, but the on some like the rover 75 the sensor wears and crosses the wires to make a circuit.

could be way off but its worth a look.
